A Detroit bus travel program allows runners and their families to tour the city a day before the Detroit Free Press/Talmer Bank Marathon to learn more about the course and city landmarks along the way. The tour is hosted by a nonprofit group called InsideDetroit, which sold out the 120 tour spots last year at $10 a seat. The 1 hour tour gives an insider's perspective on Detroit's history and culture.

Runners enjoyed the educational aspect of the tour because it helped to make the race more meaningful to them. This year the organization is offering five bus tours on October 15th that can be booked online. The tour is called Cruise the Course, and it is one of many city tours offered by InsideDetroit, which offers walking and Segway tours as well.

NYC buses will now be graded according to their safety measures. This announcement came after around 25 people were reported killed due to the bad driving by the NYC bus drivers. This is sheer negligence on the part of the NYC bus systems which does not ensure safe driving on its part. New York Senator, Charles Schumer, has thought of the familiar grading system which will ensure more safe driving by NYC bus's. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration alongwith DOT will be grading the NYC bus on the basis of driving violations by the respective NYC bus drivers. Also, it is a way for the public to know the safety of the bus they use for travel.
